Financial Assistance Guidelines

Who we’re able to support

  • Applications are accepted for infant deaths from 20 weeks gestation to 1 year of age.
  • Death was the result of pregnancy loss, still-birth, a medical condition (birth defect, prematurity, etc.), SIDS, and/or injury.
  • There is a financial need after other assistance has been applied (personal contribution, church, family/friends, etc.).
  • Family resides in Nebraska or Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

We are a nonprofit and rely on donations to help families. Assistance is dependent upon available funds, and the amount awarded may vary based on availability. Approved funds are paid directly to the mortuary identified by the parents or guardian.

    Applications are available online only, in both English and Spanish. It takes just a few minutes.

    We respond with care

    If you don’t hear back within 24 hours, please email us. Approved funds are paid directly to your chosen mortuary.

Who is eligible for financial assistance?

Families who experienced an infant death from 20 weeks gestation to 1 year of age due to pregnancy loss, stillbirth, a medical condition, SIDS, or injury, who reside in Nebraska or Pottawattamie County, Iowa, and who have a financial need after other assistance has been applied.

How is the assistance paid?

Approved funds are paid directly to the mortuary identified by the parents or guardian.

Is the application available in Spanish?

Yes. The application is available in both English and Spanish, online.

How quickly will I hear back?
